Pros
Organization that provides care to Alaska Native population and a great improvement on what has been available in the past. Salaries seem fair and company will do periodic salary reviews (comparing to industry standards) and raise salaries if indicated without employee request. Lots of "feel good" training options.
Cons
Constant restructuring. Often poor hiring choices for middle management. Tons of politics. Lip service given to "listening" to employees, but no follow through. This organization is trying to cover so many needs in the community that is growing too fast and taking on too many projects. As a result the current programs suffer, which is unfortunate because there is incredible potential here. Sometimes hiring promises are made that are not kept. Frequently understaffed in some programs. Management is often so busy in meetings that they have little time to manage.
