Southern Home Services

Engaged Employer

The company is devoid of empathy, prioritizing only revenue, and treating employees as mere numerical entities. - Manager Southern Home Services Employee Review

Pros

There are very few pros to list working for this company. The benefits are affordable, and they pay weekly.

Cons

The entire process is needlessly complex from the outset—ranging from background checks, drug tests, onboarding paperwork, communication, and payroll, to technology requirements. I have never experienced an environment with absolutely no recognition for your contributions. Despite being held accountable for tasks, there's often a lack of essential tools and resources. Suggestions are routinely ignored without any avenue for clarification. Even something as simple as connecting a company printer to your provided computer requires submitting an IT ticket with a response time of 3-5 days. Password issues receive attention within 1 business day. While some may not mind being treated as just a number, I find it disheartening. The sole objective appears to be building up the business for eventual sale, with no apparent regard for treating the individuals powering the operation with respect or basic decency.

Pros

I recently started working at Southern Home Services and have found it to be an exceptional place to work. The company culture emphasizes growth, both professionally and personally. There are ample opportunities for career development. The leadership team is transparent and approachable, fostering an environment where everyone's voice is heard.

Cons

Nothing besides occasional challenges typical of any workplace. However, I've seen management actively working to address any issues.
