Pros
Administration is committed to boosting morale by regularly organizing employee activities and events. This is a small hospital located in a rural area - it is very difficult to find professional jobs with opportunities for growth outside of DWP; but SIHD has been steadily expanding and improving, and therefore able to offer rewarding and fulfilling opportunities for varying experience levels. As someone who came from the LA area, where it is extremely difficult to find entry level positions with decent pay and opportunity for growth, I'm grateful I found those things here in Lone Pine at SIHD.
Cons
Again, it's a small town. There have been occasional issues with employee drama and etc. It happens in all work environments to an extent, but it has been gradually getting better here at SIHD.
