Pros

The pay rate is good considering no experience is required. Overtime is plentiful for those who want the hours. Very easy to get a job here even for nonviolent felons.

Cons

The hours are long and the expectations are extreme. Schedules aren't set in stone and can change within a 24 hour window. 50+ hour workweeks for months at a time become overbearing and have lead to labor shortages. Labor shortages have led to overworking small groups of loyal employees. Logistics is handled by unqualified individuals. Management loses their tempers easily and act unprofessional.

Thank you for your input! Sparton schedules are 10 hour work days Monday-Thursday with the occasional overtime Friday scheduled as needed (paid at time plus one half). We're also now paying $16/hour to start!

Pros

Cool projects. 9/80 schedule. Decent benefits.

Cons

Toxic management. Old boys club mentality. Burn out culture. Resistant to change. Unlimited PTO is not unlimited and you are made to feel guilty for using PTO and penalized for exceeding 20 days. Management targets workers and plays favorites. Open mocking of other employees based on knowledge they shouldnt have. Very clicky, kinda like high-school. Located and in the absolute middle of no-where Florida. Those that have been there a long time only stay there because they live near by. Under market value for salary. Care more about optics than productivity. Set unrealistic timelines, workers are penalized for not making them but management is never held to the same standard. Everyone plays the blame game instead of owning up to their actions.
