Pros

It’s a great place to start off your CNA or patient care skills especially if you’re a beginner. Since it’s assisted living, the most you will ever do is transfer and shower more than 150lbs residents.

Cons

The management team talks poorly about their workers especially the executive director, manger of Assisted living, and manager of memory care. They do meeting outside of work and discuss about how bad their workers are for not wanting to pick up shifts. They aren’t interactive or willing to build a relationship with the other staffs. Not even a goodbye before they leave their shift or a heads up about certain news. The manager of memory care is very rude and disrespectful to his employees. If you do not pick up, he will be angry and expect you to do things that aren’t part of your job. RAs in that unit is often working doubles each day because he doesn’t want to come in and help for a whole shift. Most of them are very intimidated and scared of him. If an employee mentions a reoccurring problem, they still will not fix the situation. Laundry’s are often left in the washer for days, residents won’t get their showers, caregivers will go on break during busy hours, and they will often hide in the staircase. Be prepared to work not only your job but someone else’s who most likely is getting paid better than you. Overnight staff sleeps in rooms that are meant for tours or the exercise room. They do not change residents at night, you will often find residents heavily soaked. If it is not in your care plan, you will get charge for ANY assistance such as combing their hair. You’re getting charged $5 for food delivered or picked up. Ontop of paying for the meal plan, you’re also paying for whatever food you order each day (be wise on which item you pick!) There is always problem with supplies, no one seems to be organizing or keeping track of it. There are cases where residents will have a fall because some RAs aren’t using gait belts or leaving them on the toilet.

Pros

Excellent location management is on your side in this location. Very nice people very nice residence. Very nice families and overall a very good team.

Cons

Just sometimes there’s a little work drama, but it’s not too bad there’s work trauma at every single job.

Pros

The co workers who value community but no longer there

Cons

Almost everything. Work life balance was horrible. When asking executive directors for help and they “commit” to helping and it just ends up them firing you over what you asked help for. This company is money hungry they do not care for their residents. The accommodations are ridiculous. Practically nothing but an over glorified apartment complex.
