Pros
I enjoyed working with my coworkers— they’re hard and caring workers. Being able to help the residents was such a gratifying experience— I loved hearing about their lives and stories. Food was provided to us regularly by either the residents families as a thank you, or even the company itself.
Cons
I experienced a lot of ignorance and bullying here by one particular manager. She openly spoke badly of me and would often yell at me (and others) if she was upset, which was everyday. It was completely unacceptable and one of the key factors to me leaving the company. If we had an HR department instead of oblivious managers who don’t want to help resolve conflict I would have liked to stay. Even so, I’m glad I left this hostile and gossip full workplace and gained peace of mind. No job Is worth being yelled at by a random stranger, especially not for $15 (btw, quarterly raises are BS, I was there for almost a year and I only got ignored after bringing up the fact I was supposed to get a raise.
