Please pay more. I have to make decisions between eating and making sure I have nice clothes to wear. I haven’t been able to buy anything other than food and gas for months. With inflation and rent going up I actually am losing money staying at this job. I want to be here for a long time and retire at this job but I need to be able to make a comfortable wage. I want a family and can’t have one on $40k a year. I haven’t been able to have my weekend off in months or take my 3 days off for holidays because the other store nearby is not staffed. I’ve been making their schedules for three weeks and coordinating sacrificing my personal time with no extra compensation. Please help with better work life balance and pay :( I see corporate doing community service and helping food banks when we have some store managers making decisions about how they’re going to get their next meal.
