Pros
I took a leap of faith (leaving a job from a stable and legendary organization that would have left me with a decent retirement and solid benefits for life) to work here. It was one of the best things I've ever done. - I've worked with great people before, but never in such a great concentration. - If I see something wrong or notice that we should start doing something at our new company size/age, I'm empowered to do something about it. No matter what it is. - There's accountability up and down the organizations. The culture is to hire people that take ownership and responsibility for delivering on time. - Friday lunch and company demos are a constant source of mind blowing new tech and info. - There's a commitment to hiring that I've never seen anywhere else. It's not just on bringing people in, but also on following through to make sure they are comfortable, have plenty to do, and get assistance in terms of acclimating to a new city. - NO PERFORMANCE REVIEWS. This is a big one for me. Instead, we do career coaching and make sure our passions are in line with what we're actually working on. It's changed my mind about corporate structure completely. - It's working on satellites. - It's working on satellites. - It's working on satellites.
Cons
- Getting hired here is tough. Good enough isn't enough.
