Dedicated employees, disconnected leadership

Pros

Interesting products and technology. Some talented and dedicated employees who work hard to deliver challenging programmes despite significant obstacles.

Cons

Senior leadership often felt absent from day-to-day operations and disconnected from the challenges faced by employees. The culture could feel highly political and at times cut-throat, with a strong focus on protecting reputations rather than understanding root causes when problems occurred. Accountability was not always applied consistently, and there was a perception that blame was often pushed downwards rather than leadership taking ownership of organisational issues. Many employees regularly worked long hours, weekends, and went above and beyond to deliver demanding programmes, yet loyalty and recognition did not always feel reciprocated. Frequent changes in direction, poor communication, and limited employee engagement contributed to low morale and trust.

Pros

PTO benefits were solid. Many of the non-executive hires are highly capable and easy to work with.

Cons

There appears to be a lack of clear direction at the organizational level, with a primary focus on short-term financial outcomes. Office spaces are largely underutilized and not well maintained. There is also a noticeable disconnect between leadership flexibility and expectations placed on newer employees regarding in-office presence. Overall morale seems to be impacted.
