Pros

(Concern the weather BU) High tech company willing to establish itself in the already cluttered cheap sat data market. They follow the public grants trends and directions in the sector. They allow deap research and development. So it might be a good environment for academic scientist whilling to join the industry.

Cons

(Concern the weather BU) It's strenght of allowing such deap uncontrolled R&D comes with the cost that the scientific developments often remain trapped in a perpetual state of refinement, never deemed market-ready, due to the absence of a competent product management. In addition this company perfectly examplifies Peter's principle. In Spire, individuals are routinely promoted way beyond their level of competence, and despite evident lack of results, are kept in place. This dynamic has the consequence of pushing away the actual contributors, fostering an extremly toxic culture in which meaningful work and carreer advancement are mutually exclusive. As a result, the company becomes dominated by unacountable and ineffectual managers within a culture that lacks achievement or execution, glued to their seat thanks to a higher than average compensation package (for Lux office).

Pros

PTO benefits were solid. Many of the non-executive hires are highly capable and easy to work with.

Cons

There appears to be a lack of clear direction at the organizational level, with a primary focus on short-term financial outcomes. Office spaces are largely underutilized and not well maintained. There is also a noticeable disconnect between leadership flexibility and expectations placed on newer employees regarding in-office presence. Overall morale seems to be impacted.
