Pros

Good benefits are about the only thing.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations. Talking to management or HR does no good. College frat house atmosphere. They only want young college grads so they don't have to pay for experience and they can brain wash them to their ways. They set training and meetings but always cancel. You are just expected to know what they want without training or communication. Drivers hate dealing with them and customers complain about them. Watch your back and trust no one.

Thanks for your review. As a fast-growing company, Spot has gone through many changes. We are certainly not perfect. Many changes have been positive ones, including Spot's investment in our people and hiring a specialist to lead training efforts. I'd be happy to talk to you live about your experience while here at Spot. If you want just send me an email to set up a time to talk - humanresources@spotfreightinc.com

Pros

The office is in a good area of the city and building amenities are nice.

Cons

This company and the entirety of its management is completely unprofessional. Managers will only help you when it is convenient to them, miss scheduled meetings without notice, or be absent for weeks at a time. Manager turnover is high and you are left to figure things out for yourself a good majority of the time. There is no work from home option and they only provide 10 days of PTO and 0 sick days. Most people, management included, will come in sick to save their vacation days and get others sick in the process. The only time a work from home option was provided was when a former employee posed an extremely dangerous threat to the office and police had to guard the building. Even then, the option to work in office was available. Racism and sexism are prevalent throughout the company. Minorities are the first to be placed on performance improvement plans on tracks to be fired, while others with equal or even lower performance are not. Women are frequent targets of baseless accusations made by trainers and upper management, making it an incredibly hostile environment to work in.
