Pros

I feel very fortunate to work at Sprout Social. Sprout wants the best for its employees, and here are a few reasons why I feel so lucky. The open lines of communication 1) I have a great relationship with my boss - I feel comfortable going to my manager for questions, as well as receiving/asking for candid feedback and advice. 2) Our leadership has created an accessible work environment. If we have questions or need approval, everyone is just one email, chat, or office drop by away. 3) We are aware of new product updates, and what's coming down the pipe. We have monthly all hands meetings where these things are explained, as well as a Q & A. In between all hands meetings, we are kept aware of all things new and exciting, via email, or through our Sprout intranet. The company pride is incredible 1) we all believe in the product 2) we all believe in the work we are doing 3) we all believe in each other 4) Accomplishments are celebrated company-wide The ownership I have of my work 1) I truly feel like I make a difference here, and that what I do matters 2) I am not micromanaged, but rather trusted to do my work Office/Company Perks Free Lunch Stocked Kitchen - so essentially free breakfast Free Divvy Bike Membership/Gym Subsidy Unlimited Time Off policy Monthly Catered All Hands Meetings/Happy Hours Flexible work hours Ping Pong/Foosball Beautiful new office Excellent Medical/Dental/Vision Bragging Rights - #2 Best Place to work in Chicago for Millennials, according to Crain's Business Magazine The best staff in the city

Cons

Sprout encourages talent development for its employees, but a more verbalized growth trajectory would be nice for those who intend to advance their careers.

We're very fortunate to have you here. Hoping to give you a few new perks to brag about in the future. An increased focus on career development is something we've heard from a few different people. While we've always prided ourselves on providing new opportunities for growth, we know how important a more formalized system is so we hope to implement it at some point. Thank you for your feedback!

Pros

Sprout Social has a genuinely friendly, collaborative culture. People are smart, welcoming, and easy to work with across teams, and there's a real sense of camaraderie that makes the day-to-day enjoyable.

Cons

Where things consistently fall short is follow-through. Programs launch with a lot of enthusiasm and visibility, but the operational discipline to sustain, measure, and iterate on them after launch tends to fade. This creates a pattern where good ideas don't get the long-term investment they need to actually stick or show results, which can be frustrating for people who are trying to build durable, scalable systems. There also doesn't seem to be a clear long-term plan that the field can execute against. Priorities can feel like they shift often, which makes it hard to know where to focus or what direction to move in. Getting direct, straightforward answers from leadership on strategy and direction was often difficult.
