The company itself. The There is NO work-life balance. As far as I could tell from comparison with colleagues, St. Croix Hospice has the highest SW caseloads of any Hospice in the Metro. You cannot get the work done in a workday. A typical day is 730am to 6pm and more documentation later in the night or you will have late documentation in the morning.
The culture is too competitive... each person trying to one-up each other with hours worked. Management is cold and punitive and all nurses and business representatives. Ownership is tone-deaf.
It is a For-PROFIT healthcare company that really feels like a For-Profit Healthcare company. The healthcare offered has a high deductable. The pay is low. The caseloads are high. There is no SW representation with the management structure. Rules are rigid. Time-off is not respected.
