Pros
There are some great nurses, pcas, doctors and managers. Departments vary of course but the department I'm in has a great manager and the nursing staff gets along well and help each other. Overtime is possible to get if you want it. Health insurance isn't bad. Your orientation is 3 months which is good. Easy to transfer to another department after your 1 year of employment.
Cons
Again, departments can vary. There are some managers that aren't as easy going as mine, the pay is low and the patient can be a challenge. There are periods in the year where the whole hospital is understaffed and you can feel it.
