The absolute worst place to work!

Pros

Nice new nursing floors. The Wayne staff only are very nice and have s good sense of teamwork.

Cons

Where to start? HR is as unprofessional as they come. The unprofessionalism starts from your first day with the recruiters. They make wrong salary offers to candidates, do not compensate to fair market value, the on boarding process is miserable. It takes 6 weeks to come on once an offer is made. The employee relations and compensation management have the worst attitude and could care less about employees or effective relationships and fixing the problem and broken processes. New executive management from the CEO across the board. No strategy or vision is communicated to employees. No sense of comradery. The workspace is horrible in most locations. Literally rodents and insects crawl across the floors. Nothing is done about it even though many calls are made to fix the problem. Employees pay for parking however are told there are no parking spots. When they do find a parking spot, other employees block they in so you are forced to stay until the security people find the person to move their car. Snow is not removed from the facilities in the winter, staff fall on the ice and hurt themselves. Nothing is done about it. They have this excellence program that is communicated at orientation and tell employees that they strive to be excellent however no one follows the program. The list goes on and on and on. Advice to people looking at a potential job at this place; Stay away!

Pros

I cannot think of anything that is considered a "pro" for this hospital system. BEWARE before even considering a job unless you are desperate!

Cons

1. The funding has been cutback from the state and charity care reimbursement has been reduced due the affordable care act. The company is out of money. 2. Employee salaries are not equal to market value. 3. 7 Vice Presidents have been fired or have resigned. The hospital's bond rating has been impacted because of this. 4. Infrastructure is falling apart such as power, cooling, facilities, parking. 5. Unethical practices including HR as mentioned by others. 6. Most of the staff are afraid and do not know where to turn because their leaders are gone.

Pros

The projects are plentiful and there are some very nice clinical people.

Cons

The IT PMO managerial staff lacks in leadership training & experience. Favoritism and elitism run ramped in the department. High turnover rate in the department (50+%). Quality employees are dismissed without warning or justification, while incompetency remains, leaving a depressing apprehensive atmosphere in the office. Increases are minimal if at all (1-2%) and not always delivered on time (nor retroactive). Bonuses, comp time, WFH, LTD – all refused. Team building and motivation comes in the form of inexpensive food (ice cream, cake, pizza). You have to pay for your meal at the department holiday party.
