The IT Department is running on fumes. Literally. Every single person I work with is exhausted. I’ve been in the department for over eight years now and each year leadership and management within the department gets worse, Resources and staff numbers are going down, very high turnover, terrible communication, amongst teams and leadership, upper leadership doesn’t care about our opinions, even though they ask, but they’re really is no point, underpaid, and very a little opportunity for growth at this time. The network and executive leadership only seems to care about the growth of the company. We continue to acquire new acquisitions, the projects are piling up, supporting the current staff of the network is becoming more challenging, especially for operations and year after year we fill out these employee surveys and no one is listening. The IT department is the backbone that holds everything together, and we get extremely little to no help from upper leadership. Our staff Resources are less than they ever were yet our workload is expanding beyond what we can accomplish. You would think the logical thing would be for a fast growing network that the more facilities we have the more staff our department needs to support the ever-growing expansion. But that’s not how things work there is no logic.
