Cons
This is a hospital system based on politics and fueled by corruption. I worked here for 4 years. The pay is ridiculously low, you are rarely ever recognized for hard work, there is discrimination against people with disabilities, and everything is about the money. Monthly staff meetings were focused on how to put more money in the doctor’s pockets instead of improving patient care. Expect to be largely overworked and underpaid at St. Luke’s. Also, I would say as a patient and former employee that 95% of their physicians are mediocre at best and will not treat you well. St Luke’s is also well known for promoting managers with a history of corruption or abusing employees to higher levels instead of firing them. The list goes on.... My best advice is to not listen to anything they say publicly about how great their organization is because it’s 100% a scam. Do not waste your time and efforts working here.
