Pros

The health insurance is not that expensive.

Cons

There is absolutely no room for growth. They have unqualified Practice administrators, practice coordinators, front desk coordinators. They literally throw titles at whomever they are friends with in their workplace. Hardworking staff is overlooked all the time and constantly overwhelmed and overworked. They shouldn’t determine whether or not someone wants to take an unpaid day. ESPECIALLY if they aren’t willing to give us better vacation hours. It isn’t fair that new employees now get 40 hours of vacation and me for example has worked for 6 years going on 7, I’ve YET to take a vacation because of the lack of hours we get. They only use “sick time” if you call out sick, are having a procedure done, or are out on medical leave which is VERY RARE. Also you are only allowed to have 3 “unplanned events”. Meaning, if you come in 1 minute late, that’s an unplanned event, you call out sick, it’s an unplanned event, you leave early because of a family emergency, it’s an unplanned event. So how exactly are you to use sick time should you have to stay home sick or leave work sick if it puts your job in jeopardy when it happens? As soon as you hint off you want to leave, they try to match the pay and when that doesn’t work, they try to sabotage your record to make you “un-hirable”. I’ve seen it happen PLENTY of times to great workers who have spoken up about poor management. HR is NOT for the hourly wage staff. Anonymous complaints can be made but of course, nothing gets done or looked into. And of course, we have to deal with all of this while being severely underpaid. Their metrics are ridiculous to achieve when they are completely short staffed.
