Pros
Overall, I would say the nightshift staff was my favorite. They are very supportive and helpful and know when to help, at least most of them. I loved getting to know the residents and spending time with them. I loved hearing their stories and why they either had to be at the facility long term or why they were there for rehab. The food was good for the most part. I also thought that the PTO was good and the fact that the facility did work with students was good as well.
Cons
Management did not listen to CNAs concerns at all. CNAs were often staffed with a dangerous resident to staff ratio of 27:1 or more. When talking about this in a meeting, the Executive Director told staff that we have enough staff for our residents yet we cannot safely staff our faculty where we can have showers done in a timely manner, patients fed, people in the dining room to watch residents, or CNA’s to do lifts two people to a lift while doing cares.
