Pros
Flexible schedule and minimal oversight
Cons
Constant changes in upper management and inconsistently applied corporate policies have made Summit Electric Supply an unstable work environment for corporate employees. Management stretches employees’ workloads as far as possible to avoid increasing headcount. Salaried employees are pressured into working outside of the normal workday in order to keep up with the excessive workloads. In the last 2 years, the bonus program for non-sales departments have been cut out completely in order to improve the bottom line for shareholders, non-sales employees go years without merit or cost of living pay increases. Employees do not receive regular feedback from managers (this includes annual performance reviews), in certain departments management is unavailable to their subordinates for much of the workweek.
