Pros
It was an amazing experience to work with elders. They were very nice and their stories would make you smile. This was definitely a pro for this company but, still, it was not pertaining to the company per se.
Cons
They don't pay enough for the amount of work that is given. The training is not enough to make successful caregivers either making personalized care harder to provide. According to the company standards personalized care implies each resident gets care based in their needs. To do this takes more than the 15-20 min you really need to rush into get them out of the bed since breakfast is at certain time. You can't delay it otherwise they will question you the reason why no matter if it is because you had an unexpected situation. The staff where I worked was terrible. My supervisor was short of staff because of this very same things since people kept quitting tired of how things would not change or getting some injury. I was one of the many people that left because of management. After all the head said himself that is where they were at so if we didn't liked it the door was open. I took the door the gladly and saved myself from a back injury due to the lack of personnel.
