Pros

Decent medical benefit if you are a permanent employee.

Cons

However, some of its departments freeze hiring. If you apply, you will be kicked to some temp agencies. You will be the employee from that agency. Your BENEFITS align with that agency. SMC uses turning you to permanent to lure you to stay on job, but this is base on favoritism. Fire you is simple. They just tell your agency to message you, and you are free to go same day afternoon. Some managers must be Elon Musk fan boy. They will make you write report about what you have done each hour yesterday. If your report including you spend time on compositing this report, manager will not recognize this as your job duty and accusing you not been productive. (because you are not working when writing this report) Those managers will also use KPI as a tool to attack employees. Accusing you been under performed while you spend most of time on meeting about improve your productivity and writing report on what you have done each hour.

Pros

I have enjoyed working in the Supermicro IT & DataCenter infrastructure group. It's an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in some of the most impactful trends in the industry, including AI infrastructure, liquid cooling, high-density computing, and next-generation data center design. As an IT Director focused on Applications and data center infrastructure, I have been able to work with talented, dedicated engineers and business leaders to meet complex customer requirements. The company moves quickly, embraces innovation, and provides opportunities to make meaningful contributions rather than getting lost in layers of bureaucracy.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, and priorities sometimes shift as the business continues to grow rapidly. There are times when processes, tools, and organizational structures are still catching up to the company's expansion. Success often requires flexibility, a willingness to take ownership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Employees who prefer highly structured environments and clearly defined boundaries may find the pace challenging.
