Pros

Free breakfast. No other pros.

Cons

1. About the 5-star reviews: HR actually asked managers to post a 5-star rating on Glassdoor to help the company attract more applicants. So I wouldn't trust those recent positive reviews. 2. Management style: Managers here use fear and threats to control people. Employees are afraid to speak up or share honest opinions. Leaders don't know how to manage — they take credit when things go well and blame their teams when things go wrong. This happens at every level. It's also very common for managers to gather and gossip about their own employees behind their backs. If you don't mind being treated poorly, you might survive here, but for most people, it's one of the worst places to work in Silicon Valley. 3. Teamwork: Different departments don't cooperate. They constantly block each other and play political games. Real collaboration is rare. 4. Outdated processes: It's 2026 and we're in Silicon Valley, but this company still does almost everything by hand — manually checking files and staring at screens all day. What they call "efficiency" is really just people working long hours. 5. Root cause: All of this comes down to the old-school family-business culture from Taiwan. Decisions are made on the spot without data. There's no real strategy.

- Excellent food benefits with free breakfast and dinner, plus subsidized lunch options. - The company offers an aggressive merit-based system that truly rewards high performers who are willing to put in the effort. - There is a strong sense of respect between peers and leadership. In my experience, hard work is recognized and valued across the team. - Great product which leads to strong business performance.

Cons

No 401K match, health insurance could be improved (was decent years ago).

Pros

I just started at Supermicro and I have to say — the onboarding experience exceeded my expectations. From day one, the team was incredibly welcoming and took the time to walk me through everything step by step. The pace here is fast and efficient, which I really appreciate — they don’t waste time and they set you up to hit the ground running. One thing that really stood out to me is the food perks. Free breakfast, a great lunch option, and free dinner — the meals are genuinely nice and it shows the company cares about its employees’ day-to-day experience. Overall, I’m really impressed with the work culture so far. The team is helpful, the environment is productive, and I feel supported as a new hire. Looking forward to growing here!

Cons

As someone only in their first week, it’s hard to give a full picture yet.

Pros

Free breakfast and dinner if you stay late enough

Cons

Terrible management, no linear growth (growth depends on favoritism or nepotism), no 401k match, internal mismanagement (it seems like internal teams are prioritizing war with each other over the growth of the company)

Free breakfast can't outweigh the toxic culture

Pros

Best thing here is food. Free breakfast, and it's just one bread or one boiled egg per persion. Cafeteria food is not free, but is very cheap compared to other companies.

Cons

Toxic people, work culture, environment. Basically a mom and pops shop with no management. No flexibility, no work from home. You are being monitored to clock in/out daily. No diversity (aka racist), it seems like 50% TW, 35% CN, 14% other Asians, 1% others. Turnover rate is very high, majority population over 40 years old. No young blood = dead company. And of course, just go search up the scandals- need not say more. The list can go on.
