The Management is ignorant and arrogant enough to believe that a dress code and draconian adherence to time cards is a better way to increase professionalism than training, sound business strategy, and investment in tools. They are the 'Peter Principle' in the flesh. They sit in their office all day, and do nothing of value for the team. When they does emerge from the office, they insert themselves directly in the way of progress. Mansplaining is a major issue. Regardless of who you are, or what your background is, Management knows more than you. If you have an idea that would make the company more efficient or better in any way: put it on a shelf. Don't bother at Synology, save your good ideas for your next company.
