Pros

Flexible hours during the work week. Six standard holidays plus four floating holidays.

Cons

Salaries do not reflect the cost of living in the DC area. The work week is 42.5 hours. This means that SPA employees work over 15 extra days involuntarily than their peers who work regular 40 hour work weeks. They are doing this without higher salaries nor better benefits than their peers. The dress code is 1980s business accountant. SPA prefers to hire retired O5s and O6s than grow employees from within.

Pros

Great team, company really encourages work life balance and understands things come up. Super supportive.

Cons

The HR team rolls out new software every year that always is an attempt to "support the process" but more often than not feels like a waste of time for most employees / overly complicates processes.

Pros

Great company and people with benefits similar to larger contractors.

Cons

Like any contractor it largely depends on the government team with whom you work.
