Pros
-Opportunity to work with world-class investment talent. Most PMs are great to work with and share risk with analysts although there of corse are some outliers -Freedom in role. No one hanging above your head if performance is decent, officially 2 days WFH per week but no one enforces it strictly -Good compensation package even in soft performance years (although a big part is paid in TROW stock)
Cons
-Low-quality management. Two failed PMs (you can see their track records for yourself) who are political and manage up have become appointed directors of research in London and take care of their yes men -Poor progression opportunities to PM. Mostly have to be in the right place at the right time. Rigid coverage structure -Complex corporate structure. Asset gatherer mentality permeating all levels and divisions more and more
