Pros

TP-Link Systems is an exciting place to be right now as the company continues to grow and evolve into a more agile, forward-thinking tech organization. There’s a strong sense of momentum and opportunity here, with plenty of room to contribute to great projects and the chance to make a real impact. For those who thrive in dynamic settings and want to be part of a company building for the future, TP-Link Systems offers a rewarding and energizing workplace.

Cons

TP-Link Systems is a growing company with a lot of potential, but it’s still working through the growing pains that come with scaling quickly. Processes are not always clearly defined, and priorities can shift often, which may be challenging for those who prefer more structure and stability. Communication between teams could be stronger, and there’s room for improvement in creating clearer career paths. That said, the company is moving in an exciting direction and offers opportunities for those who enjoy a fast-paced, evolving environment and are comfortable navigating change.

Cons

Despite efforts to present itself as an American employer, my experience was that TP-Link remains fundamentally a Chinese company operating in the United States. The culture, management style, communication patterns, and decision-making processes are heavily driven by the China organization. Most senior leadership positions are held by Chinese nationals, and advancement into the highest levels of leadership appears extremely limited for others. In my experience, Mandarin was the preferred language among many senior leaders, and important discussions and decisions frequently occurred outside the visibility of the broader organization. U.S.-based leaders often appeared to have less authority than their titles suggested, with major decisions ultimately controlled elsewhere. Transparency was limited, organizational changes were frequent, and priorities often shifted without clear explanation. The company talks about building an American organization, but I saw little evidence that it operates like a typical U.S.-based technology company. Employees should understand that they are joining a company whose leadership culture and decision-making structure remain firmly rooted in China.
