Pros

Great people - The President really cares about doing thing the right way and the career guys are all very helpful and supportive Opportunity - You can and will move up extremely rapidly if you produce Experience - The job offers a good entrance point in the world of sales. It really is all kind of the same stuff at the core of it. You will become better at talking to strangers if you stay at TPC for any length of time. The pay: this one is definitely a double edged sword, but I've seen people average anywhere from just above minimum wage to 30/hour so the ceiling is at least more in your control.

Cons

The commute: It can absolutely be brutal. Travel can extend over a large swath of East Tennessee. The pay: It is commission. You only get it if the product actually gets installed and cancellation rate is woefully high (~25%). This can happen if the customer cancels before install or if the trees preclude the satellite from reaching the dish. Often times, the "ceiling" mentioned above gets all the publicity in the office, but the reality most people find themselves in is much closer to the minimum wage "floor". The hours: Tuesday and Wednesday off, the rest on. 11-8 Monday/Thursday, 11-7 Friday/Saturday, 10-6 Sunday The office: happens before the above hours, no pay, no possibility of earning money. The "pump up" sales speeches can get repetitive.

Pros

Healthy work environment, that is a great place to meet people, and gain experience in face to face work.

Cons

Early Opening Hours, and often late closings, with bad traffic, but nothing much else that is a negative
