Pros

- Salary is good. - Unlimited (in theory) PTO. - Decent benefits. - Decent 401k. - Work from home.

Cons

- Got assigned to multiple projects in a row without having the right skillset but still expected to deliver on par with the "senior" designation. - Constant reminders about working towards Microsoft certifications. Most of those that Avtex needs are in a different area than my specialty. It would help to actually work in the area I'm expected to get certified in. - Got sent to a basic week-long course on something I've never worked with and was asked if I could take a Microsoft certification test after. - Lack of clarity of resources' roles on projects (PMs vs developers). Developers seem to be expected to handle more customer-centric communication than seems appropriate. - It seems to be ok for PMs to keep repeating they are not technical to avoid documentation or requirements gathering. - Push towards configuration-over-code approach causes solutions to be extremely brittle and cumbersome to develop and operate. Completely unable to test in any kind of automatic manner and implementation unrepeatable if there is a need to deploy elsewhere.

Pros

Working at TTEC is good mainly because it offers remote work, flexible schedules, and an easy entry point for beginners. You also get paid training, decent benefits, and a supportive team environment, with some chances to move up

Cons

Working at TTEC can be tough because of low pay, high stress from constant customer calls, and inconsistent management. Schedules can also change, training may feel rushed, and there’s high turnover with limited job security
