Pros
Possibly would have been a good company to work for, if the people training you actually passed on the shortcuts that lead to speed. It would have helped to have a enthusiastic trainer who enunciates the English language clearly. Some very nice people working there, but if you are not "accepted" by the so called trainers, you won't get far. Very predictable job, no real surprises. Unrealistic 100% goal for packers. I have almost always had physical jobs in the past, so having a trainer who shares the knowledge/shortcuts would have been invaluable.
Cons
Management assumes that all trainers pass on unlimited knowledge/shortcuts, but this just is not true. The 100% ratio is wrong. I could easily achieve 100% but was shooting for accuracy. I was never late & never called in. I was told they have mosquitoes in their warehouse come summertime & that management does absolutely nothing about it. Please, like Target can't afford to address rhis? Especially with West Nile & the Zika Virus??? Supposed to be a Full time position, yet they constantly sent new hires home, sometimes after only working 4 hours. I hadn't had a job that paid this low for a few decades but to not even get a full 40 hour week, repeatedly is wrong. My bills sure aren't Part Time. It is my understanding that they continue to do this to the new people, to this day.
