Pros
My direct boss was really professional, handled every situation with care, and was over all just a nice guy to work for. In my opinion Target has a great structure, sometimes to their disadvantage, but are always on top of things. They always provide their employees with adequate information on whats going on in the company and are constantly trying to get you, the employee involved. I also liked how they let you request the hours you want to work and more times than not are successful in doing so. I would also like to say if your a college student this is a great company to work for. They let you leave and come back literally whenever you want. I did this for three and a half years. One time I did not work for about 11 months, I called up when i got home from school and got hours the next week.
Cons
The pay is crap. In their argument it is "competitive' as far as minimum wage goes but its exactly that..minimum wage. I would be okay with that except for the fact that I was overworked and given to many responsibilities for what I was getting paid for. In short, I felt I was being taking advantage of. At target they literally hire almost anybody, including idiots. So when they find a responsible employee who can get the job done more efficiently and effectively than anyway else and who can take directions well they give them more responsibilities and increase their workload. Which is perfectly okay, except when the pay doesn't come with it.
