Pros
Not much! Discount on purchases; and being able to buy household necessities/grocery items where you work is a plus, when you have minimal time in your day. They will work with your schedule, and there is usually someone who will take your shift if changes are needed. Co-workers were generally friendly and hard working at my location. Most Dept./Team leads were long-term employees and really knew their areas well. Current postings of multi-level job openings all across the country were posted near back offices, making it easier if you wanted to relocate/transfer or apply for higher position. Technologies /equipment used were ok.
Cons
So many employees, yet still not enough staff make work difficult. Unresponsive, lazy management and constant revolving door of employees due to low pay and hard work leaves a cold feeling in the store. Late hours if you close, plus you may have to work major holidays (w/time and a half). Training is minimal; like most retail you must be a "self -starter". Not many benefits for part-timers; I think one B-day and one week of vacation after a year. Room for advancement was small, as most higher levels were already filled with long-term associates.
