Target is a great place to work, but the company does not offer much room for personal and professional growth. - Signing Team Member Target Employee Review

Pros

The team members are well rounded eager people who get along with everyone. Target is a very diverse place to work and the company is deeply rooted within the community. There are many volunteer events to attend and each store raises money for their community. Hours within the store are fairly consistent and the rises are descent for a department store.

Cons

The store as a whole, expects more from it's employees without giving them equal compensation. There is no such thing as a "set schedule", sometimes an employee will close the store only to open the next day only getting 8 hours off in between. Management is great at telling you about every mistake you have made but they are not appreciative when you go above and beyond your work. My recommendation is to off somewhere in the middle, so when you reach your best you will be appreciated, otherwise, like myself, you will work your hardest and your best year after year and there will be nothing to show for it.
