Pros

Target offers a cutting-edge work experience in so many ways. The corporation does a great job of keeping up with technological changes and innovations, for example.

Cons

But Target is not cutting-edge in enabling employees to work reasonable hours. Particularly after the Great Recession of 2008, Target was not good at ramping up their hiring to alleviate unsustainable workloads. Bungled rollouts of a new Target.com website and expansion to Canada certainly contributed to this, and former CEO Gregg Steinhafel certainly deserves discredit for this. Perhaps the new CEO, an external hire who arrived in August 2014, can make progress on this.

Pros

If you are looking for a job that you’ll be a part of a fun team environment, have the ability to learn all about customer “guest” service, retail operations and sales, as well as merchandising even at entry level great opportunity. for such a large corporation I have been pleasantly surprised by how tight knit teams are. applying was okay, there were multiple steps (videos, assessments) but overall not too bad)., phone call and then video questions before hiring.

Cons

Pay isn’t great, but for the market it’s fair. Moving up involves a much larger increase in responsibilities and workload relative to the pay increase.
