Pros

Fairly fun workplace as far as retail goes. I've worked there prior to my disability and enjoyed it.

Cons

Was asked a set of questions that I wasn't sure were totally legal until I consulted my disability advocate, at which point they confirmed these questions were not legal. I explained what I could and could not do, and how I could be accommodated reasonably without stress on the company. I was told disabled individuals were not allowed to handle registers, computers, or other electronic equipment due to being a liability, and that I posed a fire hazard due to wheelchair. I don't fully believe this is reflective of company policy, but I could not figure out a person to take the issue to in order to get it resolved, particularly since the interview was isolated and quiet, and I have no proof. HR was extremely careful not to let me enter with my belongings, nor leave with anything to consult my physician or advocate. When I worked there prior to my disability, I noticed people were fired at the drop of a hat, no notice, no reason. Target is very fire happy, and doesn't often give you a chance to improve or coach you on your performance.
