Pros
-The newness of products and frequency of refreshes is genuinely the most pure fun of the job. -sometimes you can get lucky and end up at a store where everyone is bought in and committed to the cause. -if you like everyday to be different but also fast paced, you'll love it. -good 401k. -generally can go far if you're just a top performer who exceeds expectations, but will most likely be performance punished for a decent amount of time before it gets you what you want.
Cons
-forms of accountability can seem trite and like overkill. -sometimes you can end up at a store where no one cares which results in the entire business being an absolute mess. -you can only move up if "they" want it for you. -they "want you" in role for 18 months before you can think about a second assignment(which they will tell you but then you'll hear about the rule being broken somewhere else in the district). -if you're at a smaller volume store its going to be miserable because they get less hours and the company is always going to be trying to crank as much freight as possible into stores so it's inherently harder because they don't qualify for as much leaders.
