Pros

Committed to the growth of teachers. Equity is preached and practiced in many ways. As a black woman, I have NEVER felt like less than or been unappreciated at Teaching Lab. It is no different than any other job with certain issues but overall I love working here.

Cons

Internal growth opportunities are few and when they occur they are convoluted and difficult.

Teaching Lab Response

Thank you for sharing your experience and for calling out Teaching Lab and our team’s commitment to teachers and educational equity. We’re proud to have you on our team and we love that you love working here. We appreciate your thoughts and concerns about developmental pathways within Teaching Lab. As we’ve grown the size of our team over the past three years, we’ve also worked hard to increase the clarity and intention of our internal growth and development pathways. Today, these pathways and role progressions are part of our growth strategy and our Performance Development System (PDS), which every employee participates in with an assigned Home Manager who guides and supports their professional growth and development. We’re proud to additionally support each of our team members’ development through our external coaching partner and discretionary resources to help them chart and pursue career advancement pathways within Teaching Lab.

Maximize impact with minimal time commitment. Great way to network and strategize with educational partners that impact all the stakeholders affecting K -14. Co-create educational tools that end users actually want.

Cons

Pros

People seem relatively polite and nice

Cons

Lack of transparency. Bait and switch operation. Completely disorganized. Underpay and undervalue their employees. Overall they aren't capable of offering the services that they claim to offer schools because they don't have the depth of knowledge. They just make up names, protocols, and ridiculous acronyms for everything. I felt like I was in an SNL skit every time I had to interact with them.
