Pros
I honestly can’t think of any... maybe the 5 people that are actually nice and normal that work there. Other wise, not much good comes from here.
Cons
Where do I even start? I’ll start with management. Management is AWFUL and lies to you from the get-go. Promising big salaries and benefits. What a joke! Sure, there is the definite possibility that good money can be made, but it is not the norm. Plus, most people don’t stick around long enough to reap the reward of cold calling because the turn over rate is so high and people get out of there faster than a deal can close. One time we had a trainer come and he asked who had been there longer than 1 year and maybe 5 out of 30 people raised their hand. So pathetic. Even customers get frustrated by this because they have a new sales rep every 6 months. I also did not feel comfortable selling service to customers when the service is awful. I would go over the portfolio that talks a big game of service promises and 90% of the time, the customer would come back to me later after the sale, yelling at me for lying to them about having good service when in reality, their service was not living up to anywhere near the promises. This is the main reason I wanted out of there. No integrity. There seems to be lots of other sketchy stuff going on at this place too, but that’s another conversation for another time. Employees are extremely micro-managed here. Honestly felt like I had to ask for a hall pass to use the bathroom. The benefits suck- very little PTO and expensive health insurance that does not cover much at all. You can’t even access your 401K until you’ve been there a year. Funny how they do that because they know that no one lasts a year. Oh! And did I mention they try to screw you out of your hard earned commission? Yeah. Better keep an eye on those pay stubs and track everything. Oh! Did I also mention that they will randomly decide to make you stay late after work (think like detention- see, very High school) if your sales aren’t as high as they’d like. But what if you have a family? They don’t care! At Technifax, copiers are your #1 priority in life. Nothing can even come close. Grandma died and you need to take off? They don’t care. You better show up to work. Your mom just got diagnosed with cancer and you need to go see her? They still don’t care? Your son has his graduation at the same time as the company BBQ? You better be at that BBQ. See my point? I’ve never had so much anxiety and health issues from a job before. This place is an emotional and physical hazard. I could honestly go on and on for days about the poor excuse of a company this is and don’t even get me started on the President-Michael Moon. He’s a disrespectful, arrogant human who does not know how to run a company. If you’ve seen the movie Horrible Bosses- it’s like if Kevin Spacey’s character was racist as well, it could have been written after him. Everyone is always so tense in the office because it’s like walking on egg shells when he is around. The company also states it is a smoke-free environment but probably 50% of the people that work here smoke. Seriously, unless you like having anxiety and depression, having the life sucked out of your soul, being around people who bring you down and treat you like crap, and having customers yell at you all day for the company screwing them over, then stay away. Oh also, the funny thing is the reviews on here that are “good” sound way too over the top fake. If you’ve ever worked there for a day, you know it’s nothing like what the good reviews state. Seems a little fishy and staged if you ask me. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. I’m so glad I got out of there. My life feels much healthier and balanced since leaving.
