Lots of opportunity to develop real leadership skills. Decent resume builder if you have no experience, but you may not last a full year.
Cons
Technology Advice has poor management. Management encourages micromanagement practices, down to now screen watching you do every task using spyware. They motivate employees with promises of promotions and pay increases, sometimes delivering on the title change, but rarely delivering on the pay increases. A common strategy is to over burden you with responsibility while promising but never delivering on material change. The CEO likes to hire and fire people on a whim. Think of a 3rd grader uninviting classmates to his birthday party. As a result, his direct reports do the same, out of fear that if they don't they are next. Turnover rate has to be abysmal. In my experience, there's no trust in the company leadership or vision. It seemed like everyone is trying to stay employed by doing whatever they need to keep getting paid, sometimes even when they tell their peers it's bad for the organization. I'm guessing the majority of the employees are looking to get out. In my experience its a deceitful privately owned company, that praises an employees ability to spin and lie confidently. I felt no trust, from the CEO to his direct reports to the line managers, or from the individual contributors back up to the senior leadership.
