Pros
A job to help you in desperate times
Cons
Everything. You don't have to be good at your job, just an expert mouse move or keyboard smacker. Thanks ActivTrak. ActivTrak is a tool that tracks how often you spend time in a "productive tool" by monitoring mouse and keyboard movement when using Slack, Google docs, or whatever is considered productive for that month. If you are idle for more than 4 minutes, it stop tracking time; so good luck making coffee or having any sense of work life balance. The tool actively incentivizes reduced efficiency. What do I mean? If you are good at your job, and can do it efficiently in less time with high quality; guess what happens? you are tracking less time and hence considered unproductive. The way things are at this company, the faster/better/smarter you are at your job you are considered less productive than your mouse moving counterpart. The input to your work is held at a higher standard than the outcome of the work or the business you bring to the company. So as long as you are "agree" to everything and can show 40 hours on the board you are going to be successful. Spend time making sure people think you are smart over doing work, because that'll get you the in the good books, and get promotions faster. Don't worry about promotions, you'll get one soon. At the rate people are fired, or leave this company every quarter you will be expected to do your job and take on additional roles. No extra money tho, that's not a part of the promotion deal here. I know you are already underpaid compared to basic salaries for your role but that's life at TA. They will make a big deal of their values and not follow it. They will set new goals almost ever quarter. Typically they spend the end of a quarter planning for the next one and then wonder why they don't have enough time to work on their priorities. There is clearly an inner circle and if you upset anyone in that group. Game over. You are fired. Everyone at this company is suffering in silence. The culture is a joke, Those wards they get are forced on to employees to fill the survey. Their eNPS is a joke. The only think that makes them money is a legacy LeadGen Product that is slowly dying. All their new priorities don't get enough resources to prove value and leads to constant pivots!
