Where do I even begin? -Don’t fall for this. The only way you’ll actually move up in the company is if you’re willing to relocate to the opposite side of the country. If you take anything away from this review, please listen to me when I tell you do NOT tell them you’re willing to move anywhere because they WILL send you somewhere horrible and boring and you’ll hate your life. -You never see your manager because they are so over worked and stressed out doing other peoples job (recruiting) so you never get any good feed back and they won’t see all the good you’re doing. -You are a glorified Home Depot associate stuck in the store for 8 hours a day doing absolutely nothing. They want you to get product all over the store but the Home Depot managers normally always say no and anything you do will more then likely be torn down the next day anyways so why even try. -Getting walked is stressful (depends who is walking you) because they’ll either have great feedback or they will absolutely crap on you. Great motivation. -They don’t tell you when you first start that they are going to switch the schedule to where you work 10 hour days for 4 days a week for like 3.5 months. -YOU GET NO SICK DAYS. Only PTO so if you’re sick, you either use pto or just be miserable at work. -Be prepared to be asked at least 50 times a day if you work there (even though you’re clearly not wearing an orange apron) and if you’re a woman, good luck because the amount of disgusting comments or stares you get a day is enough to last 10 life times. -Good luck trying to get any information from anyone. No one knows anything and it’s all the same thing being said from upper management. -They hire like crazy and forget about their current employees. They force you to post on your social media to get referrals and even have early morning meetings to talk about it and then they have you send proof showing you posted. Makes you kinda think how high the turn over rate is. -And finally, this job is completely unfair. You could be in the role for 8 months and a transition or promotion isn’t anywhere insight when someone who started a month ago already got moved around and they’ll say the same thing “it’s because of the needs of the business” I strongly do not recommend this company. If you’re okay with moving all over the country for new positions, you’ll do great. If you want to stay where you currently live, kiss any promotion goodbye. You have to wait for everyone above you to get promoted first before you get one.
