Pros
- Everyone is in their 20s easy to make friendships that will go beyond TTI - If your manager does not do anything/work you can get away with whatever you want without them knowing - Free Gas/ Benefits - If you have a good location and store you will love your associates
Cons
- You will be in a HOME DEPOT 40hrs a week lifting extremely heavy product - Safety: the car they give you will get broken into several times and no one in the higher management cares - Promotions: They constantly tell you, you will get promoted but you will have to move to the middle of no where to do so. They also predetermine who they want in the promotable position before it even hits the market. They will act like you have a chance by giving you an interview but in all reality the divisional has all the power to decide who they want well in advance of the reps knowing the position is open... very unfair. - They have promoted individuals not at all qualified leading to failing teams - They act like the EMS position and FMSR position are the same they are not. DO NOT accept an EMS position you will be working every weekend during the summer for 10hrs a day TH - SU 7 - 5:30 unlike the FMSR position M-F 7 - 3:30. - If you are an EMS and are religious on Sunday they do not care. They want you to miss church... and sell sell sell... not a culture I would want to be part of - THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN PAYING FOR COST OF LIVING. Reps in states expensive to live in CA for example will be paid the same amount as a rep in TX which cost of living is cheaper.... with the way the economy is and inflation you will be loosing money working here and busting your butt - They tell you in the offer letter you will be making salary and in small print tell you that you are non exempt that means you are HOURLY and have to clock in and out - This year my performance raise was 0.42 CENTS an hour I laughed. I got the highest score on my review a rep could receive.... this is a billion dollar company and they made me feel like my work did not matter - This job is not challenging AT ALL. I have a BACHELORS and MASTERS and felt like a high schooler could preform these tasks - Good luck if you ever want to work from home... you can't ever. If you have holiday plans to visit family use PTO which is hard to accrue or they will make you work in a Home Depot close to your house
