Pros
- You meet some amazing people. I loved all of my coworkers who were with me through this.
Cons
I don’t know where to start. All the reviews here that make this company look terrible are true. Some that I personally experienced are: - Zero Honesty and Transparency with a lot of management - Some of the mangers that work for the company are very unprofessional - I don’t understand how certain managers get promoted when they are terrible people that belittle their team. A lot of the reps on their team know it too. (The stories I’ve heard are so upsetting on how management treats and makes their reps feel) - You get sexually harassed by both customers and Home Depot associates at a daily and management can’t/won’t do anything (It gets bad. I tried to ignore it and worked for more than two years, but realized that it is not worth anything to be at a job where you are constantly harassed and feeling uncomfortable) - At times it’s just you alone at a store. 10hrs a day at Home Depot is not fun. - You are basically a Home Depot associate. (I’m serious) You are the only one in aisle with no Home Depot associates around and customers are constantly asking you questions that are unrelated to your brand and expect you to help them out. - Home Depot management doesn’t take you seriously. - You don’t get the proper training. Only a selected few do. If you’re lucky you get to go to corporate for training. I never got to and worked for the company for more than 2 years. - Your managers are not given proper training or the right information to give to their reps. Realized that the managers don’t know much. My mental health was suffering and I decided to leave the job. Please put yourself first before this or any job! There are a lot of jobs out there and you deserve better than this one!
