You work in a Home Depot doing a job that really doesn’t provide any career experience. Most reps sit in their trucks or stay home and clock in. Management is a joke and run by incompetent kids with little to no experience. The Divisionals are not any different than the TMs as far as experience goes, and the Southern VP promotes within his good ole boys club. The criteria for getting hired in the South boils down to whether or not you were in Greek Life, are friends with upper management, or have good looks. If you are a girl, harassment runs rampant both by customers and from management. If you are great at your job then you will be taken advantage of because 90% of your team only cares about collecting a paycheck and the managers get so overwhelmed with recruiting that they pass their duties on to the best reps on the team. You will be told that you will promote within 6-8 months. I would say that in my time there, only 3 reps were promoted. The rest quit. The turnover rate is unbelievably high. They make you go though multiple interviews for a job that is basically the equivalent of the Home Depot MET team. The company has resorted to hiring anybody with a pulse and playing it off like they are selective when in reality they struggle to find people. I would run from this job. They will make many promises in the interviews just to get you to take the position. Then they will give you inadequate training and not follow through with anything they discussed with you.
