Pros
Starting the job here has been excellent. I get to do a job that I absolutely love doing, and I get to support an organization that ensures I rarely work more than 40 hours per week, offering an excellent work/life balance that has been missing in many other jobs. The company is growing rapidly and this is creating numerous opportunities for people to move around within the organization into different contracts and to assume different roles for new experiences. In short, between the very strong paycheck, the work/life balance, and the opportunities that are coming, I feel grateful to have gotten into this company on the ground floor and I look forward to see where it is going.
Cons
Being in NY, the health benefits are not the best, but that is not really a ding since affordability of healthcare in NY is a challenge. At the moment there is little room for advancement, but that is likely to quickly change as the company is growing rapidly. Most of the "cons" I see present will disappear as the company grows in scope and financial strength.
