Pros

Their paychecks won't bounce. Profit Sharing is offered. You could get advancement if you jump high enough. Templeton stopped saying "agh" 250 times during his updates.

Cons

Each business unit treats other business within TI units like a competitor. Management has effectively created this. If you get a design win it was luck...If you lose a socket it was your fault. Useful training is absolutely impossible to obtain. The whole peer/mentor system has shut-down. No one has time to train you, they are too busy trying to get their projects moving along. Management will show up and schedule you for a meeting and ask "So, what have you been doing". Management will release proclamations to save money and basically cut off all tools you used to use and implement new ones. Then give you no time to learn the new tools but your project better not suffer. Kind of like, you shall make bricks without straw. Oh my gosh...I realized I am starting to hate it there. How in the hell did they get on the list for one of the happiest places to work? All I see are miserable people. Except for the ones always dishing out the work. They seem happy they don't have to shovel. Also, someone has stolen my laptop. I left to get coffee, came back and it was gone. Thanks.

Pros

Individual contribution is awarded. Promotion opportunities are provided. Benefits are awesome.

Cons

Individuals that don’t contribute are not penalized. Occasional instability but not for hard working knowledgeable people.

Pros

Great learning opportunity, would recommend to new college grads Above average pay for the industry Very friendly colleagues who want to transfer knowledge WLB is team dependent

Cons

Team has reduced to 1/3 of original size in less than 2 years, but BU is mostly hiring in India Refuses to hire externally in US (only internal reqs) to fill roles lost from attrition, instead management dumps responsibilities on rest of team members (with no pay raise to match) Management refused to address 2025 layoffs, employee morale is very low Limited mobility and (capped) yearly performance bonus Restructured profit sharing to effectively be a pay cut (-7%) Unclear job description, constantly changing priorities, management is out of touch with employees Innovation isn't emphasized, new products are mostly IP re-use Employee burn-out common Definite decline in work culture since 2023 RSU vesting schedule is bad (4 years)
