Pros

Company did not bother satellite locations, and tried to work with employees to share expertise through out the firm.

Cons

Unprepared when taking over new intelligence based contract. Depended upon work force from previous firms contract transitioning over to continue working under Textron. Made offers to new employees but with significant pay cuts, reduced benefits such as leave and sick time. Annual increases minimal, and did not get back to my pre pay cut salary by the time I retired after Textron lost the two year contract. Biggest insult was Textron manipulating retirement plan, putting retirees at risk by forcing a total liquidation of all 401k assets and transferring to an IRA in order to begin taking distributions. Even stocks held in Brokerage account must be sold and transferred to IRA, creating potential for significant loss when buying back into the same stocks. I would not recommend this firm if you have any concerns for how you will control your retirement assets after leaving.
