Pros

High expectations, nice buildings and overall strong management. Curriculum is excellent but of course not everyone loves DI (direct instruction). I think it’s extremely beneficial to young students and moves them along quickly. Affordable compared to other private schools and for sure a high quality education. Lots of support and many nice families/students.

Cons

Some growing pains but not a huge issue. They seem to be working out expansion details and hiring more staff. Some parents are neither forgiving or patient but also not a huge issue.

Fairly competitive pay, year-round schedule gives you 4 three to four week breaks throughout the year. Students are generally well-behaved.

Cons

Poor communication from admin; seemingly random changes in school policy with no warning or explanation. Every year I saw teachers whose contracts were not renewed despite never having any disciplinary issues and consistently positive observations; admin will refuse to give any explanation or reasoning for the nonrenewal if asked. Frequent turnover of admin--there have been 5 different heads of school in the last 5 years.
