Pros

The people (non-supervisory) are nice.

Cons

They lie to their employees, potential employees, and foster parents. Not only did the do the bate and switch with myself but I've seen them do it to their foster parents too. There are so many of their foster families who hate them and switching to other agencies. They are so desperate for families that they will verify just about anyone. Most of the people who have worked there have been there less than a year because they can't keep anyone there. I heard one employee say "I hate this place. Its my own personal hell". They are terrible disorganized too. Files get lost, with important information in them such as driver's licenses and social security cards!

The Bair Foundation Response

We're sorry you feel this way and that things did not work out. We send out foster parent surveys on a regular basis and 88% of our current families are satisfied with the support, training, professionalism, crisis reaction time and accessibility they receive from staff. You are correct, we are desperate for families because of the number of children & teens who are coming into care on a daily basis who need a safe loving home; however we absolutely will not compromise quality for quantity as stated above.
