Pros
Extensive 8 week classroom training. Benefits on day one. Lots of PTO hours and unplanned PTO hours. Positive atmosphere but that goes away once you get out of training.
Cons
They state that there are growth opportunities that are based on performance. But in reality you only have a good chance for growth and promotions if you’re “popular” and/or constantly kiss manager’s butts but don’t actually put in the hard work. CSA managers (not all, there are maybe 2 that don’t apply to this) make fun of employees and talk badly about particular employees to other employees who are in the same job position as them. They expect you to educate customer’s & to take your time with them and hit ridiculous metrics that are impossible for their expectations of being the customer’s advocate. There’s so much more I could put but these are the main cons of working at Cigna.
